Gunwerks ammunition has been designed for maximum performance at long distance. VLD or BTHP bullets have become popular due to their unique terminal performance. The copper nose and small meplat exhibit a delayed reaction to expansion, allowing the bullets to penetrate several inches without expanding. Once the bullet begins to expand, its simple lead core and copper jacket really come apart. This creates massive wound cavities, and a devastating performance. Every component, from primers and powder to bullets, has been selected with care to ensure the best performance possible for long-range hunting ammunition. Hand-loaded one cartridge at a tim, with careful inspection and quality control. Gunwerks engineers were able to improve the performance of all cartridges at long ranges by understanding both external and internal ballistics.
Note This ammo was designed for Gunwerks rifles, but it will perform well in any rifle. Gunwerks ammo has a longer loading than most factory ammunition, so cartridges may not fit into some factory box magazines. COAL measuring 3.320″, check fitment with your rifle.
